One of the most impressive blog posts of the year comes from India and a wordpress site called RichWorks.

It documents the evolution of 50 logos over the years, including how Nokia started with a big fish and now it much better reflects their current business profile.

In general they have evolved from more complicated to simpler, more powerful designs.  Take a look - the author did an amazing job of documenting the changes over time.
